How to Prepare for a Drone Video Shoot

A drone shoot goes smoothly when a few things are sorted in advance. Most of it is on us (planning, permissions, safety), but a little preparation on your side makes the difference between a good result and a great one. Here's what helps.

Be clear on the goal

The single most useful thing is knowing what the video is for and where it will run. A listing, a launch, a booking page and a brand film all need different footage. Tell us the goal and any must-have shots, and we build the flight plan around that instead of guessing.

Timing, access and weather

Light makes or breaks aerial footage, so we often aim for early or late in the day. If the location needs access (a gated site, a venue, a private property), line that up ahead of time. And keep some flexibility for weather: drones don't fly in strong wind or rain, so a backup date is worth having, especially in the mountains.

The airspace checks, the permissions, the insurance and the safety planning are ours to handle, we film as an EASA-licensed and insured operator. You focus on having the location and the subject ready; we handle getting the drone in the air safely and bringing back a finished video.
